How to set a teacher's availability and daily class cap

  1. 1Go to Schedule in the Learning section of the sidebar
  2. 2Switch the timetable to the Teachers view
  3. 3Open the 'Edit availability…' dropdown and pick the teacher
  4. 4In the Availability dialog, set 'Max classes per day' (advisory — the scheduler warns past it; blank = no cap)
  5. 5Pick a brush (Unavailable or Prefer not) and paint the grid where the teacher can't be scheduled — part-time days, planning periods
  6. 6Use the erase brush to clear painted cells
  7. 7Click Save availability — the scheduler now warns on 'Prefer not' windows and blocks drops onto 'Unavailable' ones, and these windows also rank substitutes in the sub packet
