How to set up a sliding scale of income bands

  1. 1Click Billing under Administration in the sidebar, then click the "Financial aid" tab
  2. 2In the Settings row, find "Sliding scale" and click the add button in its corner
  3. 3Fill "Label families see" — this is the wording families pick when they apply
  4. 4Enter "Income from ($)" and "up to ($, blank = no cap)"
  5. 5Enter "Percent off (%)" — it prefills the award when you approve an application
  6. 6Click Add band, then repeat for each step of the scale
  7. 7Bands should not overlap

Part of Financial aid, scholarships & ESA

Set the year's aid budget, take applications in the portal, decide them against a sliding scale, and let every award land on the invoice by itself — plus the ESA and scholarship paperwork states keep asking for.
