Approve what students post in the Community
A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 7 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.
How to approve what students post in the Community
- 1Click Community in the sidebar, then Spaces, and click Edit on a class room
- 2Under Student posting, tick "Students may post in this room" and click Save. Students can always read their class room; ticked, they can post and reply there too
- 3Everything a student writes, posts and replies alike, is held until someone who can moderate the community approves it, whatever the room's own setting
- 4Click Queue. Held posts and replies wait under "Waiting for a decision"; a family's post in a room you hold first waits there too
- 5On a reply's card, click Read it in place to see the post it answers. Until it's approved, only the student and the school can see it
- 6Click Approve and everyone in the room can see it
- 7Or click Turn down and confirm: the student is told, and it stays on the record
Part of Family & student portals
One login per parent, covering every child: grades, attendance, this week's plans, library books, and invoices — and a student portal that answers "what do I owe and when."
