A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 6 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.

How to write a learning plan with a family

  1. 1Click Settings, open the Academics tab, tick Write a plan per student and click the section's Save
  2. 2Click Students in the sidebar, open the student, open their Academics tab, then click Start a plan on the Learning plan card
  3. 3Set the School year and a Review on date, click Start it, then click Open → on the card
  4. 4On the plan page click Add a goal, write The goal, pick the Subject, fill in Started at and Goal for a level target, and click Add it
  5. 5Under More, click Edit the plan, fill in What this year is for, and Save
  6. 6Under More, click Make it live for the family — back on the student's Academics tab, the card shows Not acknowledged until the family has seen it, then Family has seen it
