How to open financial aid applications to families

  1. 1Click Billing under Administration in the sidebar, then click the "Financial aid" tab
  2. 2In the Settings row, find "Family applications" and click the edit pencil
  3. 3Read the dialog: opening applications puts an apply button on every family's Billing and Financial aid pages
  4. 4Fill "Intro text families see (optional)" — who reviews, when decisions go out
  5. 5Click Save — the card flips to "Open — families can apply from the portal"
  6. 6Submissions land in the Review queue at the top of the page, with a waiting count
  7. 7Editing the card again closes applications; submitted applications stay in the queue

Set the year's aid budget, take applications in the portal, decide them against a sliding scale, and let every award land on the invoice by itself — plus the ESA and scholarship paperwork states keep asking for.
