Share a support plan document with the family

A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 8 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.

How to share a support plan document with the family

  1. 1Go to Students, open the student, and open the "Services" tab
  2. 2In a plan's "Documents" block, click "Attach"
  3. 3Name the file under "What is it?" and pick the "Type" (ISP, IEP / 504 plan, Evaluation report, Medical letter, or Other document)
  4. 4Choose "Who may open it?" — "Service-plan staff only", "Their teachers too", or "Their teachers and the family"
  5. 5Pick the file under "Document" and click "Attach"
  6. 6Pick "Their teachers and the family" to make it appear in the family's portal; the parent opens it from their child's record
  7. 7To change access later, click the visibility chip on the document's row and choose a new answer to "Who may open it?"
  8. 8Use the delete button on a row to remove a document — the file is deleted from storage too
