Take a head count for an event and bill the families going
A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 7 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.
How to take a head count for an event and bill the families going
- 1Click Calendar under Communication in the sidebar and click the day the event is on.
- 2In the day panel, click RSVPs on the event to open its page.
- 3Click Add a price in the page header. Fill in Who this is for (Student, Adult, Chaperone) and Price each, then click Add price. Add a row for each different price.
- 4Watch the Who is coming section fill up as families answer from the portal — it shows how many of each price they picked.
- 5Click Assess this fee to the families going. Confirm, and each family gets an invoice for their own head count.
- 6Read the lines underneath: families who answered before there was a price have to be asked again, families who changed their numbers after being billed are listed with both figures, and a family who withdrew after being billed keeps its invoice until someone waives it.
- 7When more families answer later, click Bill the 3 families not yet billed to charge only the newcomers.
