How to place a hold on a library book

  1. 1Click Reserve in the portal navigation
  2. 2Browse the recommendation rows — "For your assignments", "Recommended for you", "Popular with your classmates" — or type in the "Search title or author…" box
  3. 3Use the category chips or the Books / Resources tabs to narrow the list; each book shows an availability badge like "2 available" or "All out"
  4. 4Click the Hold button on the book you want
  5. 5In the "Place hold" dialog, optionally set "Needed by (optional)" to the date you'd like it ready
  6. 6Click "Place hold" — the book now shows a "Requested" badge
