Grade an assignment with a rubric
A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 6 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.
How to grade an assignment with a rubric
- 1Click Classes in the Learning section of the sidebar, open your class, then click Gradebook
- 2Click Add assignment (or edit one) and set the Rubric field — the default is "— No rubric — type a score —"
- 3In the assignment list (click Manage list if it's folded), the assignment now shows Score rubric instead of Enter grades — click it
- 4For each student, tap one level per criterion; add a note where it helps
- 5Use the Previous student and Next student arrows to move through the roster
- 6Click Save marks — the rubric's total is scaled onto the assignment's max points, and the column's header reads "rubric"
Part of Gradebook, report cards & transcripts
Enter grades in a spreadsheet-style grid, post them once, and watch report cards and transcripts assemble themselves — plus the What-If views families use on their side.
