Why preschools growing into elementary schools need a different list
Every fall, some preschools add a kindergarten, then a first grade, and discover they have become schools. The software breaks at exactly that seam: childcare platforms have no gradebook, no report cards, no transcripts — and school systems have no ratios, no subsidies, no daily feeds. Whichever side you start on, the other half arrives with the first graded class.
This list is ranked for programs crossing that line, and the question is really about timing: if a graded class is even two years out, the system you pick now is the one that will have to produce its report cards. If no graded class is coming at all, the childcare platforms on this list are the right category and this is not your list.
