Check the schedule for clashes and clear the ones that are fine

A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 9 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.

How to check the schedule for clashes and clear the ones that are fine

  1. 1Click Schedule under Learning in the sidebar — blocks that clash are outlined in red
  2. 2Click "Check schedule" on the bar above the grid; the bar already counts the issues and the button lists them
  3. 3Read the findings in three groups: Double-bookings, Availability and Room capacity — availability entries are tagged (hard) for an Unavailable window or (advisory) for Prefer not
  4. 4Click a finding to jump the grid straight to the blocks it names
  5. 5Fix a clash by dragging one block to a free hour on the grid
  6. 6Press ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows) to undo the move and ⇧⌘Z (Ctrl+Shift+Z) to redo it
  7. 7For a clash that is on purpose, click Acknowledge beside it
  8. 8Click "Acknowledged" to open the group; click Undo beside a finding to put it back on the list
  9. 9Click "Hide details" to close the list
