Find the students who aren't in any class
A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 7 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.
How to find the students who aren't in any class
- 1In the sidebar under Administration, click Reports.
- 2Under the Academics heading, open the Students in no classes card and click View report.
- 3The section "Active students in zero classes" explains the stakes: they're invisible to the gradebook, attendance and report cards until they're enrolled — usually a mid-year arrival whose schedule never got built.
- 4Click Download CSV if you want the list to work through offline.
- 5Click a student's name — their record opens on the Academics tab, where the Classes card reads "Not enrolled in any class."
- 6To enroll them, open the class from Classes under Learning in the sidebar, click "Add students", tick the student (the name filter helps), and click Enroll.
- 7Back on Reports, the Students in no classes chip reads "all clear" once everyone is in a class.
