Review and approve submitted lesson plans
A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 6 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.
How to review and approve submitted lesson plans
- 1(One-time) In Settings, open "Planner & families", check "Require review before publishing" (under "Review lesson plans before families see them"), then click that card's Save
- 2In the sidebar under Learning, click Planner (its badge counts the lessons waiting)
- 3In the view switcher pills along the top, click "Review" — the queue lists every submitted lesson, oldest first, with the plan families would see and its checklist
- 4Read the plan, then click "Approve"
- 5To send one back instead, click "Ask for changes", type the required note, and click "Send back" — the teacher is emailed the note
- 6Note in the wrap: approving does not send anything to families — publishing stays a separate act on the week (Planner → Publish to families)
