How to send an emergency alert

  1. 1Click Emergency alert at the top of the sidebar, above the sections
  2. 2Pick what is happening: Lockdown, Fire — evacuate, All clear, or Practice drill
  3. 3Check the pre-filled "Message families will read" and edit it if the situation needs more
  4. 4Click Send (for a drill the button reads Send practice drill), then confirm; a drill's confirm reads "This is marked as a drill. Send it?"
  5. 5Watch the tally count families as they answer
  6. 6When it is over, click "Clear this alert" with "Also send the all clear to families" ticked
