Turn off family holds while you set up the library

How to turn off family holds while you set up the library
- 1Click Settings under Administration in the sidebar
- 2Click Library & barcodes in the section rail on the left
- 3Find Families can reserve: the box "Let families place holds and reserve equipment from the portal" is ticked by default
- 4Untick it and click Save at the bottom of the Library & barcodes card; "Settings saved." shows at the top
- 5Reserve now leaves the family portal and the parent app for every parent and student login, and an old Reserve link goes to the portal home. Holds already placed stay on each book's list for staff to fill or cancel
- 6Staff are not affected: Reserve stays in the sidebar under Library & resources
- 7To reopen it, tick the box again and click Save
