Upload documents for your aid application
A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 7 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.
How to upload documents for your aid application
- 1Click Billing in the portal navigation, then the amber banner saying the school needs a document for your financial aid application, to open the Financial aid page
- 2On your application card, the amber notice "The school needs a document from you." sits above one slot per requested document (for example the prior-year Form 1040 and the W-2s)
- 3Click Upload beside a slot, choose a file under "File (PDF works best)", and click Upload — a check mark, the file name and the date appear on the slot, and Replace swaps it later; uploading answers the school's request, so the application goes back to the school for review
- 4If the file is a PDF from tax software, the portal reads it and shows the income range it found, asking "Is that right?"
- 5If the reading is wrong, click "No — flag for review", explain under "What's wrong?", and click Flag it so a person looks at the documents directly
- 6If the reading is right, click "Yes, that's correct" and then Confirm; the school still makes the final decision (a family answers each reading once, either confirming or flagging)
- 7Documents are encrypted, only aid reviewers can open them, and they are deleted automatically once your application is decided
Part of Financial aid, scholarships & ESA
Set the year's aid budget, take applications in the portal, decide them against a sliding scale, and let every award land on the invoice by itself — plus the ESA and scholarship paperwork states keep asking for.
