Lay a curriculum onto one group in your class
A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 7 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.
How to lay a curriculum onto one group in your class
- 1Split the class into groups first (class page → Lesson planner card → Groups)
- 2Click Learning, Planner, then the Curriculum pill, and open the curriculum
- 3Click Lay onto a class. Choose the Class, set First lesson on, and click Preview — the dry run lists which lesson lands on which day; nothing is written yet
- 4Click "Lay N lessons". Because the class has groups, the window has a For field: pick the group (or Whole class). Families see a group's lessons only for their own child
- 5Click Lay them. The planner opens on that week with "Laid N lessons onto <class> · <group>", and the lessons sit in that group's row as drafts
- 6To take it back, open the curriculum and click Remove beside the lay under "Laid onto, in step" — lessons you've edited since stay
- 7One curriculum lays once per class: lay a different book onto each group
Part of Lesson planning & Home Days
Plan the week in a drag-friendly grid, bump what slips, print the sub packet, and share plans with families — including checklist-driven Home Days for hybrid schools.
