Set which days are campus days and which are home days

A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 8 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.

How to set which days are campus days and which are home days

  1. 1Click Settings under Administration in the sidebar, then open the "Academics" section
  2. 2Under "Days you meet", switch off every day students stay home (Tue, Thu, Fri) so only the campus days stay highlighted — attendance is expected on those days, and nobody is asked about the others; a class with its own weekly schedule keeps that schedule
  3. 3Click Save (each settings section saves on its own)
  4. 4Click Classes under Learning in the sidebar and open the hybrid class
  5. 5On the Weekly schedule card, click + Add time slot, tick the campus days (Mon, Wed), set the Start time and End time, and click Add slot — a class keeps its own weekly schedule, and the Planner reads it
  6. 6On the Lesson planner card, set "Families see" to "Home-day plans only (published weeks)" so families get the home days and campus plans stay private — unless Settings, Planner & families already sets it for every class, which locks the control
  7. 7Click Open the planner, then the right arrow for next week: the class's campus days show + Add, and every other weekday shows + Add home-day plan
  8. 8Click + Add home-day plan on a weekday — the new lesson opens with Where it happens already set to Home Day
