Look back at a past week and add a lesson after the fact
A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 8 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.
How to look back at a past week and add a lesson after the fact
- 1Click Planner in the Learning section of the sidebar, then the Week pill if another view opens
- 2Click Previous week (the left arrow) — the week is named against today (Last week, 3 weeks ago), and a "Back to this week" pill appears
- 3Read the summary line above the grid: how many class meetings had a lesson, how many lessons were never marked ready, and "No lesson:" with the classes that had gaps (mid-week it starts with "So far")
- 4Read the grid as a record: past days stop offering "Add", and a meeting with no lesson says "No lesson" with a small + at its end
- 5Open More — on a finished week "Copy last week" and "Publish to families" step aside; Print week stays in the header and Sub packet in More, both covering the week on screen
- 6Click the small + beside "No lesson" — the New lesson page opens, its subtitle naming that class and date
- 7Enter a Title, write what you covered, and tick "Ready to teach"
- 8Click Add lesson — you return to that past week with the gap filled and the summary line one lesson higher, then click "Back to this week"
