Look up a student's whole record before a conference
A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 8 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.
How to look up a student's whole record before a conference
- 1Click Students under People in the sidebar (open People first if it is closed), search for the child, and open the name
- 2The identity strip shows the status badge (active, withdrawn or graduated) and, in red beside the name, any health alert
- 3The tiles at the top — "Attendance", "Classes", "Books out", "Guardians" — jump to the matching tab
- 4Click "Family" — each guardian, their relationship, email and phone, and whether they have signed in to the parent portal
- 5Click "Communication" for every call, email, and meeting staff have logged with the family; click "Log a contact" to add one, and tick the box only if the family should see it
- 6Click "Academics" — "Classes", "Recent grades", "Observations" and the school-year "Attendance" calendar
- 7Click "Library" for "Library loans", then "Behavior" for incidents and positive notes (the Health tab shows only for staff with health access)
- 8From "Academics", click a class name to open that student's record in your class
