Close the gaps in your health records
A screen recording of Pearspark doing exactly this in a sample school, and the same 7 steps written out below in the labels you'll see on screen.
How to close the gaps in your health records
- 1In the sidebar under Administration, click Reports.
- 2Under Health & safety, open the Health record gaps card and click View report.
- 3Work the three sections in turn. "No health profile" — no physician, insurance or emergency notes on file at all.
- 4"No immunization record" — no photo or PDF of the shot card on file; the hint reminds you families can send one from the parent portal, and students with a recorded exemption aren't counted.
- 5"Medication authorizations expired or expiring within 30 days" — Student, Medication, Expires, Status. The hint says why it matters: "An expired authorization means a dose that can't legally be given."
- 6Click any student's name to land straight on their Health tab and fix it.
- 7Click Download CSV for the whole list, and check the Records health percentage at the top of the Reports page as it climbs.
Part of Health, behavior & safety
Allergies that badge the student everywhere, medication logs, printable emergency cards, behavior notes families actually read, and a handbook ladder every adult follows the same way.
